This past weekend we celebrated our daughter’s second birthday! We had so much fun with friends and my mom was even able to be here for it as well. We feel so incredibly blessed by all the positive and loving people we get to surround ourselves and our children with. The party was a hit and I owe it all to the wonderful people that came out to celebrate with us! So, for the next couple days I will be sharing the details of our fun party with you!
The past month has been a rough one for us. A lot of disappointments and strife, so I was feeling really drained this weekend. I decided the party should be fun and not so stressful, so I opted for buying a delicious birthday cake instead of making one. We ordered the Pink Champaign cake at one of my favorite bakeries in town, called Sweet Surrounder. They also sell ADORABLE miscellaneous items in their little shop. The cake was phenomenal and everyone loved it – especially the birthday girl!
The cake itself was very simple, but beautiful. The icing was a pretty pink with pink chocolate shavings to top it off. I decided to make a cake topper by designing a little Russian doll to go with the theme and Minted stickers. I simply applied it to a wooden skewer and centered it on the cake. It was perfect! Not too much, but just enough to pull it all together and stick with our birthday theme!
I can’t wait to show you more of my Minted party decor! I can’t imagine doing any future birthday parties or events without it! What do you think of this simple birthday cake topper?
