Mom Style | Lotta From Stockholm

So, I’m going to be really honest in this post today friends. I’ve tried to get this post up for about a YEAR now and today it finally happened. As a mom (going onto three years now), I find it so hard to put myself in front of the camera and maintain confidence with what I see reflecting back to me. Over the years, I’ve just become so insecure as a woman. I don’t know if it’s my age or just because I’ve been investing all I am in my kids, I’ve forgotten who I am in a way. But, I think as moms we just become less selfish for obvious reasons. We are taking care of something that’s so much more important than us – we are busy loving on our kids. And that’s ok, but it’s also ok to feel beautiful and stylish too! So, I’m trying to get a little more out there and share a few bits and pieces about who I am as the blogger behind Hello Lidy. And yes, I do love fashion, makeup, jewelry, dressing up (and down) and trying out new trends. I also like to feel confident, which means I have to feel comfortable. I got these adorable clogs from Lotta From Stockholm about a year ago. Just after we moved to Canada, a matter of fact! I’m not that tall (I’m 5’4), so to have a little extra height is important to me in my day to day look. But, let’s face it, most heals are really not that comfortable and I won’t put myself through that kind of pain when I’m already...
Wednesday’s Wishlist

Wednesday’s Wishlist

I’m back with another Wednesday’s Wishlist! The weather has been so amazing here lately (knock on wood), but I know soon enough that will all be changing. I’ve gathered some seasonal favorites this week to prepare for the cold months ahead!  I am very intrigued by these brass Snake Candleholders! I’m thinking they would be perfect for Halloween decor and I would even go as far as keeping these out all year round!! Aren’t they fabulous?!  Cold weather means dressing a little warmer! These Plaid Socks are a must for the mister!  I might already own this Plaid Scarf in red, but I love it so much I would go back and buy another! It’s both ridiculously cozy and very trendy for the upcoming season!  I’m making the kids play outside as much as possible while the weather is cooperating. But soon enough, they will be indoors  a little more often. Why not plan ahead with some fun craft ideas in this Martha Stewart’s Favorite Crafts for Kids? I think so!  Hope your week has been treating you well so far!  XOXO, Lidy Feel free to leave a comment!  You can also follow Hello Lidy by...
Fall Jacket Two Ways

Fall Jacket Two Ways

It’s officially starting to feel like fall around here! Seeing as we are now in October, it only seems right to start pulling out those warm jackets and start dressing a little more accordingly! I’ve teamed up with Joules today to show how you can sport one of their gorgeous jackets two ways!! Dressy: Necklace | Top | Jeans | Boots Casual: Scarf | Top | Jeans | Boots If you are anything like me, investing in the proper jacket is a must for fall and winter! But not all of us can have multiple jackets to go with our multiple outfits, so I’ve picked a classic design that can be easily dressed up or worn casual! I love the style of this piece – it’s so streamline and feminine! Not to mention the color!  Ladies, navy is the new neutral – it just looks good with everything!! So, which look is your favorite? Perfect Bag For Fall | What’s In Your Bag?

Perfect Bag For Fall | What’s In Your Bag?

I know, I know, it’s a fashion-y post today! When a girl’s gotta bag like this, you just have to share it with the world! Thanks to RedEnvelope, I am all set for the fall. Seriously, this bag goes with me everywhere!!  Here’s the thing, I’m not a small-bag-kinda-gal. A matter of fact, my big bags eat those little bags for lunch! I will literally use a small purse for all my little things in my big bag. People, I travel with a lot of stuff, so I really and truly need the space! It’s hard to find purses that look stylish, while serving their function as chauffeur for the loads of stuff we insist on carrying everyday. But with three small ones, what do you expect?! I kind of get tired of my diaper bags, so I like to switch it up a little.  On top of my essentials (wallet, lip gloss, hand lotion, keys, etc.), I always carry a notebook and pen for those moments I get creative inspiration – because yes, it can happen at anytime and I love to be prepared! I also carry my business cards wherever I go. You just never know who you might run into and what opportunities come knocking at your door!  Or that time you pulled out, not just one pair of socks, but two. Then you know it’s time to do some cleaning/organizing!! All in all, I love this gorgeous leather Matt & Nat bag for fall! The color is perfect for the season and goes with everything. So thankful to have something new (and oh so pretty) for this upcoming season!  So...
