Dining Room Inspiration

In the next few weeks, I’ll be teaming up with a few of my favorite brands to share with you our dining room makeover! These kinds of projects take time and can be so hard to execute because there are so many amazing choices out there!

Dining Room Inspiration

So far, we’ve basically just moved our furniture into the space. It feels like it could be our own, but only because we have some very unique furniture pieces that are special to us. Everything else doesn’t seem quite right. The wall color is actually really pretty and I think if we had other furniture and decor, it might just work. The window treatments and lighting definitely need to be updated! So far, we’ve decided on the wall color: Benjamin Moore Super White. Surprised? Probably not! The main changes I am focusing on right now are obviously the wall colors, bringing some pattern via wallpaper, window treatments and my favorite – lighting!

I have two options of how the room could go. The first option feels classic and feminine. The curtains have a very subtle pattern that’s very retro inspired. The lighting is a cluster chandelier that feels minimal and just lovely! I could have this piece in every room – honestly. The wallpaper choices (here and here) are heavy on the floral and the colors more neutral as to not overwhelm the space. This whole room design would match our mid century vibe very well!

The second option is much more modern and bold. The curtains are a bright and basic white. The lighting is very sleek and is definitely a more risky choice for us. But I just love all that brass! The wall paper (here and here) are very trendy and a lot more stark! I just love the idea of having a black wall, but with pattern!

We have a lot of work to do, but I am so excited to share the end result when it’s all done! What do you think of our choices so far?

XOXO, Lidy

  • I immediately chose option two because of the lighting. It’s AMAZING.

Amy, you and I have the exact same taste :) I am leaning towards that one too! Yay – thanks for your feedback!

I love those curtains too Madeline! I might reconsider swapping those out! Thanks for your input :)

  • Loving option 2. The curtains, with wallpaper one and that light, amazing!

Thanks Krystle! I am loving all this input – I’m feeling more and more confident with option two!

  • These are both such pretty options! I love how you’re planning ahead your inspiration like this, I will definitely have to do this for my next room makeover (which, according to my fiancee, will be a while, haha!). I love the wallpapers in option 2, but am gravitating towards the lighting and curtains from option 1!

Thanks friend! I have to stay organized and focus and I find with design projects, this really helps me see the bigger picture. It’s also a lot less overwhelming as the space comes together because you kind of use this as your step by step guide. You should try it on your next space makeover and see if it’s helpful for sure! And I do secretly hope it’s sooner than later 😉

I like option one! For everything. I think it’s still modern, yet a little bit classic. Like it would stand the test of time a little bit more. :) But that’s just my thought.

It’s so hard to choose! If I could, I would get everything! haha Thanks for sharing your input :)

      XOXO
