Hey friends! I’m back with the second part to yesterday’s post! First of all, let me start by saying THANK YOU to all my Instagram friends for your helpful votes and opinions. I was having a really hard time deciding what lamp to go with and I truly took in every word you had to say on the matter!
Here is the new and (hopefully) improved dining area! It feels so much more elegant and inviting, the way I imagined a proper dining room to be. I ended up going with the gold geometric lamps, for two reasons: 1. The room needed a real pop and wow factor that didn’t blend in and get lost in all the white and neutrals 2. They felt a little more “dressy” which is what I needed for the dining space. They also create a nice triangle with the chandelier, which is good on the eyes. The white lamps were beautiful and I loved the subtle design and shape, I just was afraid they would have been easy to overlook with the rest of the decor!
I framed my beautiful Buffalo print, as well as another black and white one to help bring contrast. I also added a few random decor pieces, which I’m sure will be replaced and rearranged from time to time. I’m still needing a pop of green, I just have to find the right indoor plant. Any suggestions?
I am still trying to decide if I should hang the big print or leave them leaning for a fun touch. I love how everything feels fresh and modern! It still goes with the rest of the room and doesn’t stand out too much in a bad way!
So what do you think – did I totally miss the mark or do you think it turned out alright?!
