Home Tour: Dining Room

Home Tour: Dining Room

This is the second part of my Home Tour series: our dining room! It’s a hard space to decorate since our living room and dining room have to share one big open space. We’ve really tried to make this room feel more formal by adding white and grey geometric patterned wallpaper. We’ve also added a graphic rug to frame the table and help define the space a bit more (although, my rug is way too small for the space and we could really use a new one – suggestions welcome)! My favorite part of this room is the Sputnik Chandelier by far! It’s really changed the way this space looks and feels. Although there are a lot of things I would like to add and change, I’m ultimately satisfied with how it is for now. Update: be sure to check out the Dining Wall Makeover and Buffet Revamp

Thanks Madeline! I do like my space to be bright – it also makes it feel a lot bigger with a family of five living in such close courters 😉

Very nice space! Such a good eclectic mix while still being consistent:)

    • HelloLidy

Thanks Heather! It is hard to keep things consistent when bringing in all sorts of pieces into the space! I appreciate your kind words :)

      Thanks for coming by!

Great bright space just like your living room.

    • HelloLidy

Yes, thank you! It’s actually all one open space, so that’s what makes it a bit challenging 😉

  • What a gorgeous space! I love how it’s so bright and airy and welcoming. Looks like a very peaceful home. Found you through Pollinate Media and I’m your newest follower.

Where did you get your white eiffel base chairs. I have been eyeing them on amazon but the reviews aren’t awesome. I NEED them.

    • HelloLidy

      Hi Harmony!

We got them on Overstock.com! We love them!

  • Danielle

Hi there- wondering where you got your dining room chandelier? Been looking for one just like it and keep finding more complex versions that are more expensive than I can currently afford. Trying to research alternatives! Thanks in advance!

    • Danielle

Do you think you could add where you got the items hown in the pics to your house tour photos? I’ve also been eyeing your rug! Thanks so much :)

        Hello again!!

That’s such a great idea! Although, I have so many little knick knacks, I wouldn’t know where to start 😉 The Chandelier is actually a DIY and you can find it on the blog as well (I’ll include the link for you). The rug is from Home Goods! Although, I recently replaced it with one that fits our table a little better from IKEA. Hope that’s helpful! Feel free to ask about ANYTHING, I don’t mind at all :)

Love what you did in the dining room. I had to comment because we have the same wallpaper, mine is in the hallway. Keep up the great work! :)

    • HelloLidy

Thanks so much Margaret! Don’t you love the wallpaper?! It was so hard to choose because it’s so permanent, but this one was so trendy, modern and subtle. The hallway would be a great place to put it too!!

      XOXO
