Now that we are back into the swing of things, we have a lot of projects going on simultaneously in our house! We’ve managed to complete our dining room and partially the kitchen and living room, but I’m ready to keep going! Especially now that I have the energy!
If you’re anything like me, then you’ll know that the master bedroom is probably the one room that always gets neglected and looked after last. It’s the dumping ground for things you’re unsure of what to do with and certainly the farthest thing on your mind when it comes to decorating.
When we first bought the house, I remember seeing our room for the first time and all I saw was Pink. Pink and purple actually. In some cases, I think this can work. But for me, I felt completely overwhelmed and not at all relaxed and at peace like our previous master bedroom. My plan is to bring that calming atmosphere back into my life once more.
For now, I’m just showing you the before pictures so you can see what I’m talking about! I’m not exaggerating when I say this room has been neglected. It’s full of “stuff” we use to have displayed on our old industrial shelving. Now, we have no shelving and so it’s just piled on our dresser and closet. We sold our bed before we moved to save space in our moving trailer, so we sleep on a mattress on the floor. And of course, odd pieces here and there.
i cannot wait to get started – we are looking at paint samples and have picked out some new pieces, which I cannot wait to share with you. What do you think – is it as bad as I think it is? Let’s be honest here friends!
