This year, my husband and I are trying to incorporate more simple and minimal designs in our home. We love the look of streamline furniture, clean lines and midcentury-modern designs. It’s hard to find anything like that where we live, unless we make frequent trips to the big city, but with three kids that’s highly unlikely.
Good thing I have a talented husband who makes a lot of beautiful items for our home. We are a great team and have identical tastes in things, so it makes designing our home a lot of fun! My husband loves it too! He gets a chance to try new skills and have some quiet time, which is highly recommended when you become a parent! You feel refreshed and ready to go again.
We have always loved the look of these minimalistic wooden birds! Because the heads can detach, you can change the directions of where they face and even flip the bodies upside down to play around with the different looks. It’s genius! As much as I love the originals (let’s face it – they are GORGEOUS), we just couldn’t justify fifty dollars on one. Though, I am not opposed to working hard and saving for these kinds of purchases!
I am so happy we have some of our own for the home – I know my hubby wants to keep playing with his wood turning skills, but I am happy with his first try! They sure add a lovely touch! What do you think?!
