As we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, I am getting more and more excited! I love the holidays and spending it with friends and family! I really wanted to start challenging myself this year by “hosting” my first Thanksgiving dinner. So, I’m trying to come up with a beautiful tabletop design that looks warm and inviting!
This year I will have the opportunity to practice my “hosting” skills with my lovely little family of five and hopefully a few friends. My folks and siblings are all up in Canada and my husband’s folks and siblings will all be on an epic trip to Sweden this Thanksgiving. Which means it’s going to be really quiet during the holidays, but also peaceful. Our lives have been really busy and stressful the last few months. It might be just what we need.
I wanted to stick to a rustic table design, with a touch of modern. I used the combination of natural textures and pops of color that were deep and rich in tone. I brought in some natural elements as well to give the tabletop a more playful feel!
I had a lot of fun putting this together and playing around with the placements and arrangements of each piece! Don’t be afraid to try different combinations by mixing patterns and textures! I think the more you play around, the more confident you’ll become.
I tried to make the look cohesive and blend together smoothly. I love the pops of gold on the plate, as well as the handwritten names on the rocks (which were free, thanks to my back yard!). You could also spray paint the pine cones if you wanted more pops of that classic gold.
This look was made possible by a few simple and affordable pieces that anyone can easily attain! Here is a list of the items you can find to recreate a similar look for your Thanksgiving tabletop design!!
What do you think? Do you have any exciting plans this Thanksgiving?
