Last week we celebrated Violet’s 3rd birthday! It was a special one for us, since it’s her last party here in California before we move. Not to mention, my mom flew in from Canada to celebrate with us! A few of our closest friends came over and we let the kids run around and play.
I think our Flora and Fauna theme was a success. I always choose Minted decor for my parties! They have the best selection of modern party decor. There are always so many to choose from, sometimes it’s hard to pick! This year I went with the Guapa Party Decor. I loved the floral design and colors. They were subtle, with pops of bright pink here and there!
I always love how they really put that finishing touch on the entire party. From the banners, the table top confetti, table signs, flag stickers, to the cute notecards! It really makes all our parties come together so beautifully!
The other decor was pretty simple. I cut fresh cut greens from our back yard and placed them in flea market bottles on the main table. I had a few of Violet’s favorite animals on the tables, mostly owls and foxes. We had rose petals adorn the tables as well, even made tattoo rose water! It was all very fancy! We picked Oleander and Bougainvillea on the tables to fill in the empty spaces, even made little labels for them with the cute watercolor notecards!
Obviously, we ate….too much. Besides having a simple BBQ, my husband made some delicious and amazing sugar cookies. I made a layered raspberry white cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. We let the kids make their own goodie bags to take home, consisting of candy – I’m sure mom and dad loved that!
We had a fun little Tattoo Parlor where I had the pleasure of “inking” all the 2 and 3 year olds! Don’t worry, it was pretty painless! Some of the kids kept coming back for more and more. It’s an addiction once you get one…apparently!
Most of all, Violet felt so special and loved! She sure got spoiled and loved wearing her “princess” dress from Oma and her floral crown! She was having all kinds of fun that day and I know she was as happy as a clam! The recipe for a successful party!
I am currently working on our son’s party in a couple weeks! He’s going to be 4 and I can hardly believe it! What party decor from Minted are you loving right now?!
