We’re Moving!

We’re Moving!

Every New Beginning

If you haven’t heard it officially, then WE’RE MOVING! Yes, we are beyond excited! I have loved this California life for the past seven years, but it’s time to move on to new adventures back in our home land.

But as excited as I am, this is not going to be easy. I am leaving behind a lot of amazing people and a lot of amazing memories. This has been home to us for many years. This is where our children were born and their sisters still live. And my heart breaks all over again thinking of that separation. I do not doubt God’s will in all of this, which is why I leave knowing there is a bigger picture. I’ve seen it already begun, I know there will be a good end.

So, we’ve packed up our lives in 200+ boxes and bins. No, seriously. I’ve numbered them. And not because I’m organized like that, but because immigrating into Canada isn’t a breeze just because you’re Canadian. There are SO many things I did not anticipate, so we are taking it a day at a time. I look at this empty house. The empty walls. I look outside my windows and breath in all that I can. The blue skies. The bright sun. The palm trees. How lucky are we that we lived in this beautiful state, this country. We’ve had a really good life here – for that, I am forever blessed.

And because these are such memorable times, I am going to be stepping away from the blog for a week or so. I need that time to travel. To decompress. To unpack. To settle in. To cry. To laugh. To catch my breath. I know you will understand.

If you want to stay connected (which I would love), please follow along on my Instagram. You will see our progress. Pictures of our road trip through Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Montana and finally Alberta. You’ll see pictures of the new house. You’ll probably see a lot of pictures of the kids….just be warned. I would love to hear from you, so leave me lots of comments! It will be a wonderful distraction from all the stress!

Love you friends. Thank you again and again for your support. I am forever grateful! P.S. I have ONE more post coming up tomorrow that you won’t want to miss. Then we will be off!

XOXO, Lidy

Thanks Marlene! We have arrived safely in Canada – so crazy. It feels like we are just on vacation, but once we move into our new home it will begin to feel more permanent 😉
