Cat parenting is not easy, especially when your feline starts to poop on your expensive carpet instead of the litter box. This annoying behavior is called ‘inappropriate elimination.’ If you are experiencing such a situation, try a few simple yet effective home remedies to stop your cats from pooping on the carpet.

Why Is My Cat Pooping on the Carpet?

Cats poop on carpets, possibly because of their absorbency and soft texture. Inappropriate elimination is also another reason behind this behavior. An untidy or uncomfortable litter box, psychological trauma, health issues like urinary tract infection, diabetes mellitus, and age-related disorders cause inappropriate elimination.

Note- If your feline is defecating outside her litter box, consult a vet.
