Thanksgiving is quickly approaching us and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’ve been grateful for lately. I am so thankful for my little family. Each moment with them is such a blessing.
The other day, we all went out as a family to First Friday. This is something my husband and I use to do together all the time, it’s such a joy to now share it with our little ones. All the local artisans and artists gather around and set up all their lovelies to sell. I came across one of my favorite sellers, Stitchy Impressions. Last year, I got these cute crocheted hearts. This year, I spotted the most adorable handmade acorns and knew they had to go home with me!
I wanted to do something unique with these cute acorns, not just place them in a bowl on our table. I decided to make a cute little garland, using the acorns and bright pompoms. You will simply need some thick sewing thread and a large needle. I began to thread the pompoms and acorns one at a time. Once they were all threaded, I fixed any gaps and tied a knot at each end to keep them from sliding off. Super simple! I love the fun playful feel this garland adds to our home. It’s very simple and so homey!
If you love the look of these lovely knitted acorns, pop on over to Stitchy Impressions and browse her adorable shop. What kind of things are you doing to get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday?
