  1. I use burnt flour when my baby has a diaper rash and it clears it up in 2-3 days you should have actually used burnt flour on a diaper rash before writing this out is laughable to see oils on this list keeping it dry is the cure how can you do that with wet items I’m guessing you’re a mama who has never raised a child this I hope you did not get paid for this bad advice

  2. Browned flour worked on Misty’s terrible rash- my mom taught me about it, and the rash cleared up in two days. It also stopped her pain related to the rash.

  3. Well while you do not understand the science to burnt flour I don’t need to. My grandmother came to my aide 22 years ago when my son had such a severe rash his poor bottom was peeling. It was horrible. She set up a “station” complete with a basin to clean him after every diaper change. A bag of burnt flower as well. By the next day his rash was gone. And with a few days it was like nothing had happened. Keep your “science” I’ve got generations upon generations of women that laughs at your science.

  4. I stopped reading when I got to brown flour. Lmao I swear people think homemade remedies have no weight behind them, unless some stuck up scientist who is probably funded by rash cream companies says so. Despite people using it and seeing real results for decades. Lmao

  5. The unbridled ignorance of these commenters is staggering. I hope they stop breeding. Oils BLOCK MOISTURE of course you would use them for a rash. & the one calling scientists “stuck up”??? Stop spreading stupid.

  6. Unbelievable! My child had a bad rash when they were young. I called my mom. She told me burnt flour! Well I said she was crazy just like whoever wrote this article! Lol. I called health link instead and they said your mom is right. So I tried it. What else could I do? Well it was the best thing I get used in the whole time for my baby! It healed up overnight.

    • Please also try cornstarch. Load it on generously after cleaning baby’s bum with warm water and drying well by dabbing not rubbing. When I say load it on I’m not exaggerating. Don’t be scared to put loads of it on especially before bedtime.
I’ve never tried brown flour but my Peruvian nanny used it his on my babies and it worked like magic. The only time it won’t work Is if there’s a fungal infection. Perhaps virgin coconut oil would help a bit but I’d definitely get something from the pharmacy as it must be horrid for poor baby.

  7. New born Triplets… 2 came home with bleeding diaper rash. A week with medicated cream and noting but very unhappy babies. Burnt flower was suggested.
And with in 24 hrs we started to see improvement.
    3 days later it’s was 90% cleared.
Then when ever things would flared up. Burnt flower was our go to.
I’m guessing your claims where not put to the test.
Now some of my friends found it didn’t help.
But more often, friends thanked me.

  8. As one commentor suggested have you ever used burnt floor on a diaper rash before writing this? I have four kids and have used this on all of them for diaper rash and it worked 100% better then any chemically laden creams. Not only did my grandmother tell me about burnt flour, but also my kids pediatrician. I am not sure who you consulted before writing this but please do more research before spreading misinformation.

  9. So this is false. Burnt flour was a miracle for my sons rash which got so bad he was bleeding. I bought every cream made, tried every remedy and took him to the dr. Nothing worked EXCEPT the burnt flour, so this article should actually say that experiences may be different.
